Strategy:

3iQ Corp. (“3iQ”) is an Investment Fund Manager focused on educating individuals in disruptive technologies and the cryptoasset space. The management, board of directors, and advisory group are committed to providing innovative investments of institutional quality.

3iQ Corp investments are favoured by individual investors and their advisors, institutions, and both single and multi-family offices. Through there independent research and relationship with ARK Investment Management LLC, they will introduce a suite of innovative products in both the cryptoasset space and other disruptive technologies.  They believe heavily in a disciplined approach to investment selection aided by the most innovative due diligence process and quantitative techniques. They commit to an uncompromising level of service quality for there clients.

Frederick Pye, President and CEO

Pye is the President, Chief Executive Officer of 3iQ Corp. Mr. Pye is recognized for creating and promoting creative and unique investment products for the investment industry. Mr. Pye has managed private client portfolios with Landry Investment Management and various other investment dealers. Prior to this Mr. Pye was Founder, President & Chief Executive Officer of Argentum Management and Research Corporation. He was also Senior Vice-President and National Sales Manager of Fidelity Investments Canada and an integral part of the team that saw assets rise from $80 million to over $7.5 billion in assets under management during his tenure. He also held various positions with Guardian Trust Company, which listed the first Gold, Silver and Platinum Certificates on the Montreal Exchange. Mr. Pye obtained a Masters in Business Administration from Concordia University and is a member of the Board of the Anglican Funds and the West Island Youth Residence.

Howard Atkinson, Chairman

Howard  is President of TMFD Financial (TMFD), focusing on business development and corporate strategy.

Prior to joining TMFD he was a founder and president of Horizons ETFs Management Inc. and over his 30 years in financial services has held executive positions with Mackenzie Financial Corporation, CI Funds and Barclays Global Investors Canada Ltd.

His board experience spans public and private companies as well as non – profit organizations.  He is the past founding chair of the Canadian ETF Association and a past president of CFA Society Toronto.

He is the author of four books including The New Investment Frontier III: A Guide to Exchange Traded Funds for Canadians, (Insomniac Press, 2005).  Mr. Atkinson holds the CFA, CIMA® and ICD.D designations.

Anthony Cox, Chief Financial Officer

Tony has more than 15 years’ experience in Canada and the United Kingdom with major accounting firms and over 25 years of experience in the investment fund industry in Canada.

Prior to joining 3iQ, Tony also served as President of Canadian Fund Management Inc. and provided consulting and contract services to investment fund managers, including Purpose Investments and CIBC Mellon.

Tony has been very active in the industry, serving on many Investment Funds Institute of Canada committees and is a past director of FundServ Inc.

Tony is a member of the Questrade ETFs Independent Review Committee and is also Chair of the Fundraising Committee, Vice President and Board Member of The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, Canada. He is a CPA, CA and holds the ICD.D designation.

Thomas Staudt, Director

Tom has been with ARK Investment Management (New York) for almost 3 years, and currently the President of the ARK ETF Trust.

Prior to joining ARK, Tom worked in a media sales and consulting role for WILX. Before WILX, Tom spent time with Fidelity Investments in their mutual fund department, and he has also consulted on Millennial investing behavior to TIAA-CREF.

Tom received his Bachelor of Business Administration, magna cum laude, in Finance and Economics from the University of Notre Dame, a Master of Arts in Telecommunications Policy from Michigan State University, a Master of Science in New Media Management from the Newhouse School at Syracuse University, and his Master of Business Administration from Cornell University.

Katrina Chua Ginsburg, Vice President Business Development

Katrina expertise covers the full investment management cycle for both institutional and retail investors. Her success in this is rooted from a deep understanding of processes in investor relations and business integration for private enterprises, publicly traded companies and not-for-profit organizations.

Prior to joining 3iQ Corp., Katrina has had a diverse range of experience including client services and inside sales at RP Investment Advisors, a preeminent Canadian fixed-income hedge fund with over $4 billion in assets under management, where she also mentored several associates. Kay has also gained valuable experience its alternative investment platform. Her professional network has continually expanded from collaborating with Chairman council member teams of traditional wealth management firms such as ScotiaMcLeod, to independent investment dealers such as GMP Private Client, Macquarie Private Wealth, and Dundee Goodman Private Wealth.

Katrina holds an Honours Bachelor in Administrative and Commercial Studies degree specialized in finance and administration from the University of Western Ontario. She is an active member of a women’s volunteer organization, the Junior League of Toronto, under the umbrella of the Association of Junior Leagues International.

David Carter, Executive Vice President

David is a Certified Bitcoin Professional and Certified Fraud Examinder and he is currently the Executive Vice President. He brings a unique history of financial and forensic acumen, resource optimization, innovation, and collaborative team leadership to achieve organizational outperformance in both human capital and fiscal terms.

An alumnus of Deloitte and J&J, Dave has also been a serial entrepreneur in health and technology fields. He is curious by nature, with a particular interest in emerging technologies and innovations. Since early 2016 Dave has been immersed in different blockchain ecosystems where he has networked, participated, advised and invested several times over personally in cryptocurrencies, and other crypto assets including ICOs.

 

Greg Foss, Director

Greg has 25 years of experience in pricing and trading corporate credit and related structures.

Prior to joining 3IQ Greg was Senior Portfolio Manager at Fiera Quantum LP where he was co head of Credit Strategy for the Fiera Quantum Diversified Alpha Fund and the Canadian ABCP Fund.  Fiera purchased the funds from GMPIM where Greg was a managing Partner and Head Credit Trader.

Greg has been published in the Financial Analysts Journal and the Journal of Commercial Lending on the subject of pricing credit risk.

Greg holds an MBA from the  Johnson School of Business, Cornell University (1988) and a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from McGill University (1986).

Daniel Dorey, Director

Daniel is a leader in the real estate industry, he possesses over 30 years of experience in acquisition, integration of real estate assets and real estate corporations, as well as asset management and financial structuring.  Mr. Dorey is also the Managing Director of OneCap Financial Corp.  Daniel occupied the position of Senior VP at Canada Lands Corporation where he was responsible for the development of Crown Lands in the province of Quebec and the overall operations of La Societe du Vieux Ports de Montreal.  Previously, he was President of Oxford Quebec, where he was involved in the acquisition of real estate assets valued at $1 Billion and directly responsible for managing the real estate portfolio.  Prior to Oxford Quebec, Dorey founded Koral Properties, which became one of the largest property management firms in Quebec within a 5 year period.  He has also worked for Trust General’s Institutional-Commercial-Industrial property brokerage division, for Edgecombe Realty Advisors and for Mercantile Bank-National Bank.

Mr. Dorey sat on the boards of the Youth Protection Division Foundation (DPJ), past chairman, Urban Development Institute; board of the Montreal Economic Institute (presently on the Governors board), World Presidents’ Organization (WPO); and the Quebec Board of Directors of the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO).  He holds a MBA from McGill University and a Bachelor’s degree from Bishop’s University

Richard Strauss, Director

Richard has over 25 years of experience in the U.S. securities industry.  Most of his career was spent at Goldman Sachs where he was a Senior Financial Services Analyst in charge of Investment, Brokerage, Investment Banking and Money Center Bank research coverage.

While at Goldman, he also played an important role in marketing the Firm’s 1999 IPO to institutional investors worldwide.  After leaving Goldman, Richard was a Director at Deutsche Bank covering Financial Services.  Earlier, he had been at Salomon Brothers, covering superregional and regional banks.

Currently, he is President and managing member of Kensington Partners, a trading operation, Richard holds both an MBA and BA from Cornell University
